A Selfish Man/Maybe not.

So Mr. Howard Flight the Conservative MP for Arundel and South Downs is upset about losing the opportunity of defending his very safe Conservative Seat at the coming election is he. Well that is quite understandable. It is very noticeable however that he seems to have no concern whatsoever for all the others who may now no longer have the opportunity to win theirs for the Party. His opinions are no more representative of Conservative front bench opinion than Clare Short’s views are of New Labour’s. Had we heard even one word of apology or regret from him we may have all been able to take a much more charitable view, but as it is, he has been, and continues to be, a liability to us all.
If he had apologised and stepped down immediately some may well have asked that he be allowed to return if he accepted the party line. As it is you have question his loyalty to anyone other than himself.

P.S. This Gentleman has since redeemed himself and should now be given another chance in a different seat I feel. (06/04/05)

A tribute to Charlotte Boyett-Compo’s

“Desire’s Sirocco”

Again it’s the morning I just lie here and grieve,
just waiting and wondering, will I get a reprieve ?
Will they take me and use me and remove my last smile,
or will Eros take pity and cause them all to revile ?

I have thoughts of salvation and moments of glee,
but as the footsteps draw closer all I’ve left is my plea.
Will they listen to me as I lie on my bed,
or will deaf ears ignore me and just take me as dead ?

Will Lord Dagan forsake me to suffer in Hell,
or will love find a way ? . . . Time only will tell.

:| “The car alarm is going off again Dad!". . If Angus Faraday heard that cry just once more it would surely make him send his beloved Diablo Coupe’ back to the confounded dealership that had so expertly managed to exploit his passionate obsession. To feel the overwhelming pride and, have the glorious privilege of actually owning a Lamborghini super-car, was the irrepressible desire that had been fanatically driving Angus to get up at three or four every morning for nearly the last five years. To now own the very Diablo that had once been especially built for one of the world’s biggest heartthrobs was something that Angus wouldn’t have dared to even fantasise about. However, it was now an incredible reality. But at what cost?

The Last Journey

:| Peter Alexander was a forty eight year old lecturer in Anthropology. He had been to Taunton on a refresher course and was returning home after an exhausting day. Having to wait nearly an hour for a train to Bristol was testing his patience. He checked his watch for the umpteenth time, symbolic, but rather pointless. The sky was very overcast. The days were now getting much shorter and his disappointment at not being invited to join a group of psychic investigators at the college hung heavily, particularly as he had hoped to see a certain lady from the science department again, and to make matters even worse he was now going to be too late for a Sixties Reunion party arranged at his old school later that evening. He was suddenly startled.

AN ENGLISHMAN IN ENGLAND

As an Englishman with ancestry probably going back to the Cavemen of Cheddar Gorge I am now being told, that because of our generous open-door policy for foreign visitors, 10% of our population are now visitors from those foreign countries who decided to stay on,
many without permission it seems.
LET IT BE NOTED, THAT ALONG WITH THE MAJORITY OF MY FELLOW COUNTRYMEN, I STRONGLY OBJECT TO BEING BEING PENALISED FOR THIS GENEROSITY BY BEING TOLD I NOW HAVE TO BE POLICED BY A POLICE FORCE OF 40% FOREIGNERS IN MY OWN COUNTRY’S CAPITAL CITY OF LONDON, BECAUSE SO MANY HAVE CHOSEN TO REMAIN.
Clearly if any part of the population object to being policed by a predominately White English Police Force in England, as that is the make up of the general population, they should return to their respective countries of origin.
