I believe we must all now DEMAND an immediate referendum on the whole concept of any sort of Political Union. . . . ‘EEC’ or ‘EU’. . , before all returning to our respective, principled Party Politics.

ROAD PRICING IS A NON STARTER. IT IS ‘BIG BROTHER’ WITH KNOBS ON, AND AN AFFRONT TO CIVIL LIBERTY. THE BRITISH PUBLIC WILL NOT TOLERATE IT.

Professor DAVID BEGG, Chairman of the Commission for Integrated Transport, uses our Annual Road Death Rate of 3500 to justify the use of SPEED CAMERAS, and DRACONIAN POLICE ACTION against motorists (MOST OF US).

JUST ONE DEATH will always be a tragedy for all those who are close to that person, but if you consider the DAILY NATIONAL DEATH TOLL of around 2000 (Two Thousand); should we really be surprised when as FEW as 10 (Ten) of them are so unfortunate to meet their maker on our roads; particularly when considering how overcrowded this Island is ?

EVEN THIS NUMBER, however tragic for the families involved, is clearly MANY FEWER than if we had been unfortunate enough to be stuck in a time warp with only horses to use for travel.
